Sunday 31st August
I met up with Chuan Hu at Hougang Mall in the evening for chit chat plus makan. The fish and chips I ordered from the Western Food stall was average, on the other hand, the teh-bing (iced milk tea) was excellent.
We talked on a lot of topics from schooling to today's youths of which I shall not delve into details to avoid boring anyone.
After chatting and makan, we went into the Challenger Store to look around at IT products. At this point I have to say something about Challenger:
Darn! I paid around $50 (I can't remember was it $50 or $45) for a 3 year membership but I've only used my membership ONCE which was today! Gosh! It's simply not worth paying $50 for the 3 year membership! When the sales-staff told me that I would have discount for purchasing printer ink cartridges, boy, they sure were only telling the half-truth! My brand of printer ink cartridge has NO membership discount! Only membership points! What is this man?! If you are ever told by the sales-staff about membership priviledges, they won't tell you the full story!
Anyway, after walking for a while in Challenger, I only bought a static cloth wipe and empty paper CD covers. I shall NOT buy any printer ink cartridge from Challenger! Challenger sells my brand of printer ink cartridge MORE expensively than Popular! Sheesh!
We then walked out of the store and gradually outside of Hougang Mall where we continued chit-chatting before we went our separate ways.
On a sidenote, I shall blog about a very interesting book which I borrowed from the National Library Board this evening. Until then, goodnight!
