Man, Weekend Burnt Again :(

Ok, dear readers, today's blog post is gonna be a lengthy one, do bear with me please?

They always say the last two days of the week and the first day of the weekend are the days most looked forward to by students and workers alike. Which days are these? They are: Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays.

This is where it all starts, absolute Mayhem!

Thursday: Maths lecture was a blast, literally. The lecturer spoke so quickly, I didn't have time to write down all the revision questions and even had to ask my classmates for some verifications again and again. When the end of the lecture came, the lecturer announced that he would e-mail everything he had gone through during the revision lecturer. I began to curse and swear...

Then came Friday.... I SKIPPED SCHOOL :) LOL! But... haha, in the end the whole day was used for me and my project group to rush through our Java project. Hell, Eclipse gave in on me at the end of the day and everything my group did so far was... GONE! But, luckily, I found an old copy of our project in my D:\ drive and had to redo everything I did from midway and I was so glad I had sent some of the Classes to my project groupmember... whew.

Anyway came Saturday, I spent a freaking 12 hrs in front of my laptop to compile and debug everything, LOL. 12 Hours! Let's see, I started from 11am-1pm ++, logged into MapleSEA to check my FM shop sales (I earned 7 million mesos but spent 3million of it on rubbish stuff), then continued again till 6pm. I stopped for a dinner break and then continued the Java marathorn till 8:30pm and joined my MapleSEA guild for 1 GPQ(YES, 1 only *sighs*) before continuing my project again all the way until 1am!

Lets calculate the total hours spent on that Java project alone:

11am - 1pm: 2 hrs
1:45pm - 6pm: 4 hrs and 15 min
6:30pm - 8:30pm: 2 hours
9:30pm - 1am: 2 and a half hours
Total: 10 hours and 45 minutes + all the time wasted during Hari Raya, Christmas and Chinese New Year on the freaking bleddy project = More than 12 hours !!!

Man, I didn't even have time to study for my open book Life Science test this coming Monday! LOL!

Then comes Sunday, yes, I have to burn Sunday too to study for the Life Science test tomorrow.

Terrible Week I Had Previously

(Despite all the bad insonmia, restlessness and various hallucinations the previous week, I'm feeling better this week and was able to return to school. I would like to thank my family, friends doctor and a lecturer for their care and concern.)

I was very unhappy with my Communication Skills lecturer. I e-mailed him on Thursday to notify him of my medical leave from Wednesday to Friday. He called me a while later and the conversation went something like this:

Me: Hello?
Communication Skills Lecturer: Hello Daniel, this is Mr X, may I know the reason for your MC?
Me: Erm Sir, I've not been feeling well and had been on MC since Wednesday.
Communication Skills Lecturer: I want to know the reason for your MC.
Me: Erm Sir, I'm just not feeling well.
Communication Skills Lecturer: Well Daniel, if you do not come for your presentation tomorrow, you will get a straight zero and won't be able to pull up your grades.
Me: Erm. Okay.
Communication Skills Lecturer: Your medical condition shouldn't affect your ability to present, just come for the one hour lesson and go home after that.
Me: But Sir, I don't think I can come.
Communication Skills Lecturer: If you do not come, you will get a zero. So I want you to come tomorrow, okay?
Me(Feeling very forced): Okay.

After the lecturer hung up, I felt very unhappy. Why?
1.) I was already on a valid medical leave for three days. Why should I go back just for his one hour lesson?
2.) I felt uncomfortable to tell him about my medical condition and he kept probing to know why.
3.) I felt forced to go for his one hour lesson just to not get that "zero" grade.

I then called my Course Coordinator and informed her of what happened. Luckily, she understood my situation and helped spoke to the Communication Skills lecturer.
