Allow Me To...

Bore you my blog reader to death with the mundane details of what I did this afternoon after school.

1.) I texted a friend to see if he would like to join me on a window shopping spree at Tampines Mall. While waiting to see whether he would reply, I did some mundane stuff, so mundane they would kill you. After waiting for an hour plus, with no reply from him, I made my way down to Hougang Mall instead.

2.) Hougang Mall is such a BORE. I wanted to buy some new clothes with the "harvest" I got this year from fishing around and bribing relatives with sweet talk but I was SO disappointed! I checked out Bossini and Giordano, sighs, both shops didn't have enough dark coloured shirts that I so wanted to get. (Want to know why I prefer dark coloured shirts? Look at my tummy.) I then went to this "boutique" shop and saw the clothes I liked cost a BOMB. (Oops, sorry, that "boutique" shop wasn't opened by Osama I hope.)

3.) I went into the Library to return my old books and grabbed some new ones. The Library as usual was NOISY. So noisy you can hear the little terrors screaming and running about, mobiles going off (the Librarians are busy, I understand, very busy), students hogging ground space by sitting in groups around the bookshelves. Can the Library do something about this? (No, they are too busy sending out fliers to patrons informing them of the new changes regarding Library fines.)

4.) Feeling thirsty, I bought a cup of Bandung from the foodcourt on the top level. After hydrating my so thirsty body, I went to my last stop of the day --- Challenger. Challenger was SO NOT challenging! I walked around browsing through the same old stuff until I saw a laptop skin for sale which was so ugly, I then asked the salesman if they had other laptop skins for sale, he pointed me to two Tweety Bird and a Hello Kitty laptop skins. (URGH!) In the end, all I bought was a stack of printing paper and black ink for my printer which got dehydrated. (I guess my printer needs some Bandung too!)

5.) Wow, you are still reading! Congratulations on having survived my mundane blog post. :)

Ruckus! Noise! Kids!

I was feeling quite angry today over some matters, one of which was this:

I was browsing through the books at the Cheng San Community Library, THERE WAS NOISE EVERYWHERE! Adults were either talking loudly or answering phone calls while children were running and screaming around. My cows and milk! All of the ruckus was totally absurd!

I remembered the last time I answered a phone call and was told off by the Librarian. Now? The Librarians were all missing, with no one to tell the patrons off for answering phone calls!

Talk about double standards.

I'm thinking of writing a complaint letter to the Straits Times of which I'm 95% sure would not be published at all.

Services standards really have much to be desired in Singapore.
