Would You Prefer...

A best friend or many good friends? My father has always been telling me to make a lot of friends, I have to disagree with him for this. Why?

I had many good friends from City Harvest Church in the past always turning up for my birthday year after year and I've lost contact with most of them now that I'm no longer a Church attender except a few friends.

I still keep greeting cards given by friends in my drawer year after year. Last night, as I was looking through the various cards given to me by friends for different seasons, I thanked God that He is good to provide me with many friends who have walked with me for certain periods of my life.

I'm grateful that I have a few close friends like Cindy, Aileen, Billy, Alan and Keinfie and even though I have friends, it doesn't mean all of them are close to me or know me that well as my close friends. How do you know whether someone is your close friend? It's when he/she has stuck with you over the years when everyone else is no longer around.

Don't just celebrate life, but rather, celebrate true and close friendship.
