Memories of Hokkaido Day II (Part 1)

This is the view of the scenery outside the hotel in the early morning. Over in Hokkaido, the sun rises as early as 4am in the morning (3am Singapore time). Hokkaido comprises of a lot of mountain ranges and volcanoes.

Our first destination on the 2nd day was Hokkaido's Ainu Village. The Ainu is Japan's indigenous people (before the Japanese came over from Mainland China in the ancient past.) The Ainu lived primarily on hunting and fishing for survival. When the Japanese people took over the Northern Island of Japan (Hokkaido), the Ainu were forced to learn the Japanese language and live as the Japanese do.
