Complaint Letter Sent To STForums

I patronised Changi Airport Terminal 2's Burger King restaurant for a meal today in the evening at 7plus. I left my bag on a seat and proceeded to the counter to order my food.

Upon returning to my seat, a couple was sitting there and my bag was nowhere to be found. I asked the couple if they had seen my bag and their reply was a no.

I then asked one of their staff, a short and skinny male worker wearing spectacles, who was clearing trash and cleaning the tables if he had seen my bag. He replied to me in a rude tone to go see his manager regarding my bag. I then went to the counter and asked if i could speak to their manager, at the same time, this male staff member, went inside his manager's office and spoke this loudly, "A four-eye guy is looking for his bag." I felt insulted that he named me a four-eye guy.

The manager came out and asked me what color was my bag and then returned me my bag. She questioned me why i left my bag on the seat and i replied to her that i was ordering food at their counter. I then asked her why did that staff member take my bag away and she replied it was because he thought it was nobody's bag and she apologised to me.

The male member, however, let his manager do all the explaining and walked off without apologising. I felt so embarrased that i was treated this way and left the place without finishing my meal.

At this point, i have 3 questions:

1.) If a customer left his bag on a seat and went to the toilet first before ordering food, would Burger King's staff take their bag away?
2.) Why did the male staff not ask around before taking my bag away and keeping it in his manager's office? Do they have this policy?
3.) Are Burger King's staff trained to call their customer names when their customer asks them questions? Is this their standard of customer service?

Do beware when patronising this Burger King branch, as this male staff will take away customer's stuff.
