VTech

I read this statement from the news made by a survivor of the Vtech Massacre incident, let me quote what he/she said in the best i can remember...

"a school is a sanctuary..."

A school is never a sanctuary, bullying cases do and may happen, teachers may mistreat students, students get involved in fights, teachers quarrel and argue over work etc.

In fact, no place on earth is a sanctuary.

A plane may fall and crash into a church building, killing the people inside; tornadoes destroy the safest of homes, waters ravage and flood entire towns.

This world is never a safe place to be. Even though certain organisations emphasise on Safety First, Safety this, Safety that, incidents do and will happen to anyone on earth.

The only safe place that really exists is Heaven.

Nobody expected 9/11, nobody expected the Columbine High incident and nobody expected the Vtech incident.

We can blame the US government for being lax on gun control laws, we can blame the parents of the South Korean student for not sending him for help, we can blame the school for informing the students too late, we can blame even God for letting this to happen.

Bad things do and will happen to good and bad people.

I hope that the families of the victims will find strength, courage and hope to live on bravely.

May the victims rest in peace, and may their families find peace in God's comfort.
