Windows Live Messenger On Windows XP Fix

Dear blog readers, are you running Windows Live Messenger on a Windows XP

System only to find it hanging every now and then or worse, every time? I surfed through

Google Search for a fix to this and after endless hours, here may be a plausible fix to your problem.

 

Step 1: Browse to My Documents > My Sharing Folders and clear everything inside.

Note: If you need any files inside, just simply copy them over to another location on your hard drive.

Step 2: Browse to  C:\Documents and Settings\Your Username\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Windows Live Contacts and clear everything inside of this folder.

Step 3: Load Windows Live Messenger and it should be working perfectly now.
