Do You Like Yoleh's New Blog Address?

To kick start Yoleh's "new" blog address (which signifies a new start for this 4 year old blog, gosh Yoleh cant believe its been 4 long years), Yoleh would like to share with you his reader some short history about this blog and his life.

[2005]
The blogging craze was in its developing stages then, Yoleh hopped onto the blogging bandwagon and tried all sorts of blog providers such as MovableType (too expensive and over-technical), and even considered a friend's hosting provider (still Yoleh was a student then and couldn't afford any monthly fees), in the end Yoleh ended up with Blogger (or Blogspot as we all lovingly know, lol!), initially the blog started off with this URL: http://daniel-fcw.blogspot.com which now no longer exists.

This was also the year Yoleh graduated from ITE College (Central) Tampines and entered into National Service, serving the Repulic of Singapore Air Force as a Library Assistant in Air Force School.

[2006]
Yoleh started off a separate blog for his National Service days but in the end had to close it due to the government's stand on no blogging allowed for any National Service related matters. Yoleh's style of writing then still was very "greenhorn" and not that good, Yoleh didn't know too much about blog coding etc and took blogskins from all over the Internet with the help of Google.

October 2006 was not a very good month for Yoleh as his grandfather passed away, Yoleh is thankful for the few friends on Multiply who upon seeing his blog post about the incident replied with words of concern and encouragement which kept Yoleh blogging on.

[2007]
Yoleh's blog moved to its former address: http://absolutelydaniel.blogspot this year and daringly gave his blog address to his Air Force colleagues before his ROD (not ORD, lol!) to get more hits (Yoleh is very thick-skinned). Yoleh then had a year before starting school in Nanyang Polytechnic.

This was also a time when there would be some hideous overseas visitors spamming his tagboard with stuff that cannot be mentioned here, which for the first time set him doing various IP bans.

[2008]
In 2007/2008, Yoleh adopted a practice of changing his blog layout/skin/banner on a monthly basis to give a new and fresh look to readers and visitors alike (trust Yoleh, its tiring doing all that Photoshopping and having to meet self-imposed datelines).

Yoleh got attached a month before school started but broke off with his girlfriend a week before Nanyang Polytechnic's Freshman Orientation. A week later, Yoleh started his new schoolterm in Nanyang Polytehnic and made new friends with his group.
