My Perspective...
Before I continue, allow me to do some ranting:
I've been neglecting this blog, lol. Been busy with school, school and more school. God help me is my current Windows Live Messenger nickname. Why? I've been having splitting pain caused by my dear wisdom tooth :( Anyway, I'm expecting to eat porridge these coming days, lol.
All right, and back to the topic:
My thoughts to the past few days of news in Singapore:
1.) I read today's Straits Times (Home section) and saw the news of people having had their wireless networks accessed and used to do all sorts of funny and not funny stuff. One in particular caught my attention:
An American guy paid some people to dress in the same manner as him for a bank robbery. He apparently had these people wearing blue all over from head to toe, so when the police arrived at the crime scene, they were utterly confused. Yes, the blueness overwhelmed them. But in the end, he still was caught by some DNA evidence thing.
2.) The poor Malaysian cleaner who was mauled by the two white tigers. All I can say is, I feel sympathy for him. Whatever led him to do such a thing can only be speculated. I read last Sunday's The New Paper on his family who are grieving for him and felt sad for his mother. I understand how it feels to be overwhelmed and attempting to take one's own life for I have been there before time after time.
3.) DBS and Citigroup laying off so much staff. All I can say is, the economy is shitty. I understand they need to save their asses companies but weren't other options considered? I was aghast when the Straits Times reported that DBS laid off staff without consulting their staff union. So much for "consideration" huh?
