Odex

Odex is at it again. This time, its back in full force with the support of the Japanese Anime Firm bosses who have come down to Singapore to show their dedication to Odex's cause against piracy. If Odex is to win its appeal against the Pacnet case, will this be the end for the anime community in Singapore?

Odex, at the meantime, is remaking itself through it's website at http://www.odex.com.sg by offering VoD (Video on Demand), new content and a new look. A lot of anime fans have complained that Odex's VoD is not going to be effective as users can only download and "keep" purchased anime episodes for a length of 7 days which is deemed to be too short and as good as renting instead of buying.

Odex has also offered a pardon to anime downloaders who come clean with their deeds by confessing and removing all of their downloaded anime. Odex claims that if these anime downloaders do the abovementioned, they will not prosecute them.

Others on the other hand have likened Odex's warning letters as threats by a big bully to scare and intimidate Singaporeans. There were also talks on online forums about retaliating against Odex by counter-sueing should Odex lose its appeal against Pacnet.
