In Japan, their Goods and Services Tax is at 5%, while here in Singapore, our lovely government increased the Goods and Services Tax to 10%.

How do our fellow Singaporeans view this?

Ah Pek: Tell you, this Gee S Tee thing no good for us old people, i old liao. All i want is my kopi at ah gan's kopitiam every morning and my favorite mee-hoon for breakfast. I old man don't understand this Gee S Tee thing!

Auntie: Huh? Raise again le ah? Aiyoh... must tell my ah lao to raise my GST also! Aiyah, my GST means Give Spouse Tax loh!

There was a recent survey indicated in the Straits Times quite a while back, a while while back, that 90% of Singaporeans are happy. Now with the 7% GST in effect, i wonder how much of the 90% are happy still...
