What's Going On?

Is the Singapore government beginning to relax on the Penal Code? From what i know it covers anal sex and gay sexual actions. I read some debates going on about people who stand on either the supporting side or the opposing side.

The Supporting Side
--- they are for the abolishing/amending of the Penal Code as they see it as redundant (not being with the times as it was implemented in the 1800s?), discriminating and not allowing sexual freedom for Singapore's gay men

The Opposing Side
--- they cannot imagine society and the government allowing anal sex/gay sex as it is against tradition and culture, if the government does so, there will be a major erosion in moral values among Singaporeans

What interests me on this is, people are people. Everyone has their own view, but it is not up to us to impose our views on others and force them to accede to us.

It is true that whatever the government implements, Singaporeans generally follow along.

Whatever the outcome, i just hope that people learn to accept others for who they are and not see them in a discriminating light.
