Happy Fathers' Day
My father loves his children very much... let me relate my dad's great love for his kids:
My mom told me that when i was still an infant, i always needed my mom to pat me to sleep. One day, as she was doing her usual routine, she needed to take a toilet break so my dad took over. According to my mom, when my dad started patting my back to put me to sleep, i turned around, saw it wasn't my mom and i started crying.
My dad once took us to a KFC restaurant to have our dinner when i was four or five years old, being a man who didn't buy kids' toys without his wife, he saw that there was a promotion for toys where customers could pruchase them if they ordered a meal. My dad not being sure on how the offer was about, asked the counter staff whether he could buy the toys for us and the staff told him he needed to buy a meal first and he bought three toys each for his three kids.
I always wanted to be carried when i felt sleepy when i was young, i remember being carried by my dad, putting my head on his shoulder and sleeping knowing i am in safe hands. (He had three sleeping kids to carry everytime he brought us back home.)
The most memorable thing about my dad was when i was first diagnosed with Schizophrenia. I had terrible mood swings, became violent and would hit and attack people, cry a lot of times, and would even curse at my dad... there was never a time when he gave up on me nor scolded me but he showed his unfailing love and care by hugging me constantly (something he never did for years) and telling me that he loved me.
He would sometimes call home and ask if we would like him to buy any food back for us at night without complaining.
Pa, i love you very much.
