I was planning to just find a job after I graduate from NYP in 3 years time and live a normal Singaporean life as a Singaporean male till I grow old and die, being a productive member of this ever-hounding society. Why is it ever-hounding? Look in your mailbox, when you think you are alone, you are SO wrong, with all those bills and reminders, it is a solemn indication that you are remembered by the wrong people too.
Anyway back to my topic, this incident happened to me this afternoon on my way home while riding in a cab:
The taxi driver, a man in his sixties, while driving down Ang Mo Kio Ave 1, decided to initiate a conversation with me. He spoke about how he only came to realize how man began before technology and inventions came along in his forties. He continued to speak about how we are all so caught up in the now and future, we forget about the past, and how we came to be in the present.
I smiled and felt like giving off a small laugh, man, this taxi driver telling me about all these which is all too familiar with the word: "preaching".
I somehow knew he was going to preach to me about Christianity and I was spot on when he mentioned someone called Moses. Ah-ha!
I proceeded to let the taxi driver know that I had had not been attending a Church for a year, he began to encourage me to attend a Church and get to know Christ all together again.
Before I got off, I paid the fare and thanked him.
I think that this is the sign from Heaven that I'm still wanted despite my many flaws and faults...
